For road course track events where you ARE driving extremely hard for extended periods of time it would most definately be beneficial in so much as what it does.... keeping the water circulating through the radiator and keeping the oil moving while it drops back down to normal operating temps (especially during the summer and providing that the cooling system is working properly). Having said all that, it's probably not worth the cost since you can accomplish the same thing without it by simply letting the engine idle and/or driving around the paddock for a few minutes. I agree that it doesn't provide any benefit for everyday use. Stack
